DELL KILLS GAMING LAPTOPS PERFORMANCE TO STOP MOTHERBOARDS FROM MELTING.

Dell forced an AWCC software update on all gaming laptops that Killed performance by as much as 20% to stop motherboards from overheating on 12th gen CPUs.

This forced software download and install could not be stopped by the end-user and happened to all dell laptops in the Alienware and G15 and may have happened on some high-end XPS units on the 22nd of December 2022.

This was perhaps carried out to stop loads of returns as end users across the dell supplying world that their high-end gaming motherboards were in fact overheating and dying a melting quick death as has happened to my G15 5521 12700H model

My own model was reaching nearly 107 and was thermal throttling up to 90% which is unheard of in the gaming industry something had to give.

My tests are showing around 16% loss in performance and 3c fewer max temps on my unit testing when the motherboard was cold as shown below from a recent Geekbench 5 CPU test. Check out the screen capture dates that validate this posting.
